Symbicort contains both budesonide and formoterol. Astra Zeneca is the company that manufactures Symbicort. The two components involved in Symbicort have two different functions. Formoterol is a beta agonist while budesonide is a short acting steroid. It’s also called as inhaled corticosteroids.
